Product Of The Week
A couple weeks ago, I posted on the blog the Top 10 Guide for A Cruelty-Free Routine - The Face Edition, where I mentioned makeup brushes as being an essential. So, this week I decided to suggest you two kind of cruelty-free brushes to help you through your transition towards a daily beauty routine that is not tested on animals.
Personally, I've been surprised how easy it was to find makeup brushes that are eco-friendly and cruelty-free that are great quality at the same time. You will probably be as surprised as me. All you need to do is read the package properly and search for the right information as the compounds. Make sure the brushes are made of non-animal bristles, if it's possible, look for cruelty-free statement and it's even more interesting if your can get brushes that are made with recycled materials, like the cork.
My two favorites finds are a round powder brush and a contouring brush. The powder brush is from the Cork Collection by Danielle (an Upper Canada Company). The contouring brush is from Cala Beauty Care Products. Both of them are eco-friendly and cruelty-free at the same time which is even more amazing!
Both of the make brushes are very great quality, especially for the price. They have super soft bristles, not stiff at all. The powder brush and the contouring brush are perfectly gentle for the fragile face skin. They are pretty effective to apply the powder and the blush.
The powder brush is really reliable to put your compact or loose powder. The brush works well for both of them. The powder brush applies just enough of your powder and helps spread the right amount gently.
The contouring brush that I personally use as a blush brush works amazingly. It is perfect to create a nice angle on your cheek bones without putting too much. It defines the cheeks nicely.
Price & Where You Can Find The Product
As I like to mention, it depends on where you live, but if you have any Winners or Marshalls in your area you will surely be able to buy your cruelty-free makeup brushes over there. They have many brands, like Danielle and Cala and many varieties of makeup brushes that are eco-friendly and cruelty-free. You will be able to purchase your brushes for about 7.00$ to 12.00$, depending on the kind of brush you choose.
